SKILLS USA

I was lucky enough to get the Skills USA design competition parameters from a friend in the Sacramento architecture world and decided to design my own buildings within the guidlines.

While it was never submitted, it was my first time working within strict building regulations and lead to many unique designs and complications along the way.

I used my family’s cabin as inspiration and tried to cultivate the warm and cozy spaces that I cherished in my childhood.

The floor plan is simple and is structured to emphasize the communal spaces and separate them from the individual rooms, promoting gathering and a sense of togetherness.
